slumdog

It was a movie that after winning so many awards and having everyone I know tell me it was great and I'd love it and all that, I just couldn't bring myself to go see it. Now that it's on DVD, it's been sitting on our TV stand waiting for us to watch it. Fine, let's watch it.
As we were watching the movie a 4.7 earthquake hit southern california. No, I'm not kidding. We were interrupted a few times for phone calls from concerned parents and siblings. Yes, we felt it, yes, it was lengthy, yes, I am going to work tomorrow. And now back to the movie....It was good. Real good. I won't explain anything about it because no one explained it to me, just watch it, you'll like it. And if you don't finish the movie and thank Jesus that you are not an orphan living in Mumbai and that you live in Southern California, earthquakes included, then you missed a little bit of the point of the movie. Be thankful. I know I am.
Now to find the cats...

Ya, I saw on the news this week that the government bulldozed one of the child actor's homes, without notice, and that now his family is homeless. The video interviews with his parents were pitiful. Somehow I thought his life would have improved after doing a movie. Sad.
